Making a difference away from our business is important. Currently, our staff members have volunteered and/or donated financially to our local churches, The Helping Hand Center, the LeaderShop, Pitch in For Baseball, Crushers Club, and Feed My Starving Children. These organizations are doing great things.
Brett and his son Caiden hold an annual equipment drive for Pitch in for Baseball (PIFB). In 2005, PIFB was created with the purpose of collecting new and gently used equipment to redistribute to children around the globe enabling them to play ball. Over the past 12+ years, PIFB has expanded programming and partners to help more than 700,000 boys and girls get on the field in every state in the U.S. and more than 90 countries internationally.
The Elite Staff participate in group volunteer opportunities each year. We took The Helping Hand Center on a group bowling outing. Helping Hand Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with disabilities in suburban Cook County and greater Chicagoland communities.
The Elite Team volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) as part of their “Cookies from the Heart Program”.
Nothing beats the smell of homemade cookies baking in the oven to remind you of home. Cookies from the Heart volunteers plan their treat, purchase the ingredients and bake in our kitchens so when the families return from a day at the hospital, they can help themselves to a treat or two.
Each night, The RMH keeps 153 families close to the care and resources they need at five area Ronald McDonald Houses and three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. Allowing families to stay close to their hospitalized child supports the child’s health and well-being while saving families more than $10 million in hotel and food costs each year.
